THE COSMIC PURPOSE OF ORDERS AND THEIR DIFFERENCESAs the race of human beings progress from one age to another, such as the Aquarian Age into which we are now passing that is referred to in the Holy Testament as, "there shall be a new heaven and new earth". Keeping this in mind let us explain the reason for the necessity of this Holy Order. An order is for the purpose of giving a commission unto a body of people united together with a common bond or purpose, rank or position, ordained sequence, or perhaps degrees or positions, as noted in Paragraph One of the Etymological Origins of the Word "order". Now, this can be readily applied to those orders of religious groups existing today that have origin and rights given unto them by different churches, such as the Roman Catholic Church, and other orders, the Episcopal Church and its orders. These are for the purpose of perpetuating those things which have already been established. In the arrangement of these orders and the things which the church teaches, it is their purpose to prepare those who are going into the priesthood in that church, as the definition of their worship and the arrangements and the succession of their Holy Rites are already arranged and designated. For instance, in the Roman Church they started with the Order of the Apostles, or, that is what they raised it from. This was arranged already by the Lord Jesus Christ and His work, and His arrangement and His final definition in the Upper Room; and those who took it from this by Divine Revelation or otherwise, through some form of official dignity, at least. This was followed from here, and the Church then started and proceeded on its way. Out of this authorization was passed by the Church, to these orders for their perpetuation. That is not a "holy" order. A "holy" order was the group of the Apostles, so brought together by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. As it is meant and noted, the Order of Melchisedec at one time was not acknowledged by the groups, and another order was started which was the Aaronic Order of the Priesthood, as a lesser order of the priesthood. As man evolves on earth, and draws closer to the Reality of God and the Holy Trinity, so likewise do the orders of the earth move up in their position in relation to the Deity. Thus, new orders are brought into being, but by Divine Revelation, and these are "Holy" orders. At the present time, we do not find, at least in the Christian field, a "holy" order, except that which was appointed and brought into Reality through the Apostles. As we now move into the Aquarian Age and as the earth is changing and so the heavens; man is moving up in his Reality. So likewise must the priesthood move up in their state of consciousness in order to be on an upper rung above the people, and thus to be able to help lift them up. Those orders which have performed their duty, and are now being superseded, so to speak, by other Orders will be brought closer to that of the Brotherhood, and we will find their members amongst the Great White Lodge, or the "hosts" as it is spoken of in the Testament. This principle of change is also evident in the fact that the old priesthood offered up blood on the altar for the sins of the priest, for those in the outer court, which was the same as the church. But, now the priest himself must give himself up to the eternal vows and attain certain spiritual realities, such as the Illumination of the Christ in a realistic way, and some contact with his own being to know that he, too, is one and a part of the great cell of the body of the Creator. He must be able to communicate and to receive this wisdom of the Creator through himself, through the Self. Thus it is that the priesthood has moved to a higher level of consciousness as the New Age has come into being. Our Lord Jesus Christ, as He went to Golgotha and offer up His own flesh and blood, said He gave this up as one offering for all time. Thus it was that He freed man and the priesthood from the offering of blood and flesh. Now the priest in the sanctuary offers himself up to Jesus Christ, that he may serve the Communion for the redemption of the sins of the people and for the steadfast purification of his own being. This is his offering as he performs the Mass - the Holy Mass - and this IS the HOLY Mass, which must be abided by in this day and in this Age. For how long this must progress, it has not been said, but this is the way in which it was instituted, and this is the Way in which the HOLY ORDER OF MANS perpetuates the sacrifice on the altar, through the Mastership of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I think that as you read these various paragraphs and the references thereto, you will see the relationship between the orders of the earth today and that of the HOLY ORDER OF MANS and its mission. For surely Our Lord, or Our Father in Heaven, has not discarded all the work of these good men who have dedicated their lives to the priesthood, regardless of the religious belief or its foundation. They have not been discarded, but will be taken by the Hosts as they leave the dense world. And as their consciousness rises of the Great Creator and they are able to understand the Eternal Reality of Creation; they will be brought into that place and consciousness of the Hosts and there be able to continue their service and learning until they obtain their level of consciousness of the White Brotherhood. The White Brotherhood at one time many ages ago started here on the earth and as it finished its commission at that time then was raised up and became a heavenly group. Having had revealed to us the commission of the Master and White Brotherhood we proceeded having a mission of our own. We know that they also had work to do and had prepared the field and made it fertile for the fulfillment of those things which the Lord Jesus told us in the New Testament, the coming of this Age, and the things about to take place. So let us remember all things considered, that their work in the way they were doing it is done. Now the transformation has to take place and the addition of the new work has to be added onto their way and approach for this age. If we will look at Paragraph Three in the root-word noun (Greek - tasso), meaning "to arrange in an orderly manner, appoint, and ordain", we see again the repetition and the showing of an explanation of "order". Let us refer to Paragraph Four, in which Paul writes, "for though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the Spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ". Therefore there must have been an order, even at this time, which was adhered to, regardless of its name or organization. It was a Christian order of procedures, worship and ordination having been carried on by the disciples and the Apostle, St. Paul. It was thus through Divine Revelation, because St. Paul was divinely ordained. For when we look at Paragraph Five, through the great word of "order", to arrange thoroughly, institute, prescribe, appoint, command, give, set in order, ordain. This also holds forth in Paragraph Six, "now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia even so do ye". There was, therefore, as order to follow, and an order required. Also, in Paragraph Seven, we find, "Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming". And it was also referring to something orderly in arrangement, "tagma" the original Greek. As you perceive through these twenty-nine paragraphs and statements concerning "order", and the Order of Melchisedec, you will note the following: That the Order of Melchisedec, or the Melchisedec Priesthood to which the elders belonged, concerned itself chiefly with the administrating of ordinances, and helped to make up the spiritual life and welfare of the church. Therefore, the "order" came first, not the church. Thus it is that the HOLY ORDER OF MANS contains within itself the "church", because it carries out the ordinances each day of its life in following the Holy Path, thus assuring the most effective ministry possible to the members and the membership of the Order. But these having taken the vows of orders and having obtained first their Realization of some of the spiritual mysteries of the Kingdom, such as the Illumination and their Realization of God through themselves, through the SELF-Realization, they have thus come into the category of "Holy Order" because the Order of MANS is complete within itself. The HOLY ORDER OF MANS has the Divine Right, and therefore, can ordain priests which go forth and establish "churches", which teach and use the ordinances as brought down by Divine Revelation. Note here, that Paragraph Nine to Twenty-Nine is on "holy order". Paragraphs Thirty to Forty-five inclusive are definitions and understanding of "churches" out of the ancient Greek and other references, Please take note of one thing and this is the word "synagogue", which is a temple, and what it stands for - Suns ago. This shows that the reality of the Sun, the Christos, was in existence long before Christianity. This does not detract from the Divine and the most Holy of all things, next to our Great Creator Himself, and the Cosmic Consciousness of Him, which we attempt to draw close to. This does not detract from the Christ or the Lord Jesus Christ, either one; but, it does show the Reality that this existed, and this is how Jesus was able to become the Messiah, through the accepting and the taking on of the Christos in its fullness and its consciousness, as the Great Messiah for the preparation of this Age, and who is now the Lord of this Earth. This we ask to be humbly accepted, as we set forth the Reality of many things which show distinct repetition in form and that the only one where orders are mentioned, in relation to churches, is "holy orders", where a holy order is inclusive of "church", as noted in Paragraph Thirty, and this gives one a distinct understanding of the clarity. In Paragraph Thirty-Two, Berry translates the words as "assembly, the whole body of believers", which are not to include a "church" within it, but first it must have the authority from those who are accepting it from Divine Revelation as given down from on high from the Hosts, or from Our Lord. Thus we ask this in acceptance. And when we go to Paragraph Thirty-Three, we see "to call forth" and this is what the Order does - it calls forth and gives and inserts the Words to them, and the Way in which it is done and the command given by Revelation. This is the Reality. In Paragraph Forty, we get a definition of "church" adopted by the early Christians, which means "the meeting or the true congregation of God". A History of Christian Church, gives this forth by Williston Walker of Yale University. A very interesting theme is related in Paragraph Forty-One, Ignatius implies that it is related to Christ, as the body is related to the head. Now, the head can know nothing except what is give by God; and therefore there must have been a revelation to an order from someplace to someone in order for the head to be the director of the body of Christ. For, God gathered together the four winds, and when we speak of the "four winds", we are talking also about the four elements, for they are the four forces of creation; and thus we are referring, if only in symbology to the reality of the ancient Alchemy. In Paragraph Forty-One also, Justin relates and speaks of all those who believe in Christ as being united in one soul, one synagogue, one church; but he does not mention "order". In authentic Israel, which inherited the promises of God made to the old, this shows that the order and divine right had to exist first. Let us go on as we read the definition of "church", and we find the eternity of these many, many great theologians and philosophers give to us the all-inclusive and all-unapproachable definitions that the church had to have been given to it, which they called the City of God. For, without the rulers ad the head, it would not have an orderly approach or the commands of the Almighty, therefore a "holy order" had to reveal unto it the Way and the Truth. It is also referred to here, that Christians are the "living stone in a spiritual temple, within which the Spirit dwells". This we are totally in accord with, for we know that the living stone can be but one thing, the Being Himself, which is the great God-SELF within Man, which he finds through the Realization of God and the final initiation on the earth plane. This is the definition, this is the all-inclusive Truth, as brought forth by the HOLY ORDER OF MANS. ETYMOLOGICAL ORIGINS OF ORDERThe Funk and Wagnall's American College Dictionary defines "Order" as "row, series; a condition in which there is methodical, proper and harmonious arrangement or disposition of things; established or existing state, a proper or working (functioning) state or condition; a command, direction or regulation". Also, "a commission or instruction to supply, a class or body of persons united by common bond or purpose; rank or position; ordained sequence, degree or position". The word, "order", comes from the Latin word, "ordo". The Berry Lexicon refers us to the Greek work "taxis", a noun meaning "regular arrangement, fixed succession (of rank or character), official dignity". This noun is from the verb root, "tasso", meaning "to arrange in an orderly manner, assign, dispose, appoint, ordain, set". This word "Taxis" is used extensively in the New Testament. We find it in Hebrews (5:6, 5:10, 6:20, 7:11, 7:17, 7:21), where the reference is to the "order of Melchisedec" and the "order of Aaron". We also find it in Colossians 2:5, "For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the Spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ", writes Paul. Paul also uses the word in I Corinthians 15:40, "Let all things be done decently and I order." There are other Greek words used to express "order" in the New Testament. One of these is "diatasso", also related to the root verb, "tasso". It means "to arrange thoroughly, institute, prescribe, appoint, command, give, set in order, ordain." "Diatasso" is used by Paul in I Corinthians 11:34, "And the rest I will set in order when I come". Also in I Corinthians 16:1, "Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye." Still another Greek word, "tagma", also from the verb "tasso" means "something orderly in arrangement, (a troop), a series or succession, order". (Strong) This was used by Paul in I Corinthians 15:23, "But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming". Also used is "epidiortho", which means "to straighten further, arrange additionally". (Strong) As used by Paul in Titus 1:5, "For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee". In the Old Testament we find many references to "order". One word for order is "mishpat", which means, "Divine law, verdict or decree". It comes from the root verb, "shaphat", which means, "to judge, govern, pronounce a sentence or decision". From the old Hebrew. It is used in I Corinthians 23:31 (speaking of the Levitical order), "and to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the Lord in the Sabbaths, . . . according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the Lord". Also in I Chronicles 6:32, (concerning those whom David set over the service of song in the tabernacle)" . . . and then they waited on their office, according to their order". Also in I Chronicles 15:13, "For because ye did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after due order". Another Hebrew word for order is "tsプド", meaning, "to constitute, enjoin, appoint, give a charge or give a command, give or send a message, put or set in order". This is use in II Kings 23:4, ".Hilkiah the high priest and the priest of the second order". Another Hebrew works is, "ビak", meaning, "to set in a row arrange, join ordain, prepare, furnish, to array (as in battle)". This usage is found in Isaiah 44:7. Verse 6 reads, "Thus saith the Lord, the King of Israel, and His Redeemer the Lord of Hosts, I am the first and I am the last, and beside me there is not God". Verse 7 reads, "And who, as I, shall call and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them". The most revealing sense of the word, "order", is found in Psalms 110:4, "The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec". The word for "order" used here is "dibrド", meaning "a reason cause, and estate, order". The feminine form of this word is "dッar", which means, "word, commandment, communicate, power, promise, provision, purpose, a matter spoken of, answer, decree, deed, act, judgement, message, oracle, ought, sign, spoken, talk, task, there done, tidings, work". It is related to the Chaldean "debrah", meaning "intent, sake, on account of, in order that, to that end". The root word here is the Hebrew verb "dッar", meaning, "to arrange, speak, answer, appoint, bid command, declar, give name, promise, pronounce, say, to be a spokesman, teach, tell, utter, work". Of related interest is the word, "Melchisedec". In the Greek this means "patriarch". In Hebrew it stems from "Malkey-Tsedeq", or "the King of Right". The root "Melek" means "a king, royal". In the Chaldean this was "Melak", "consultation or advise", and the root verb is "Mネak", meaning "to reign, to ascend the throne, to induct into royalty, rule, surely, consult, take counsel". Closely related is the word ""Mネ'ak", the Hebrew word for "angel". It means, "to dispatch, deputy, messenger, prophet, teacher, priest, ambassador, King". The other root is the Hebrew "tsedeq", which means "The Right (national, moral or legal), equity, prosperity, that which is altogether, just righteous, cause". It stems from the root verb, "tsヅaq" - "to be or make right, cleanse, clear self, be or do justly, justice, to be or do or turn to righteousness, rectitude, moderately, act". The word, "after" (in the expression "after the order of Melchisedec") is from the Hebrew word, " `al". It means "above, over, upon, according to, after, because of, beside, beyond the time of, by reason of, had the charge of, forth, out, from, upon, over, through, touching, with". It is the same as "'al" which is used to mean, "the top, the Highest, aloft to Jehovah, above, high, the Most High". The root is "alド", meaning, "to ascend, be high, mount, arise, cause to ascend, break (the day), bring up, cause to burn, shew, dawn, exalt, grow, increase, lift self up, light, offer, perfect, prefer, recover, restore, shoot forth up, stir up, work". "Priest" is from the Hebrew prime root, "kドan", meaning, "to mediate, officiate, execute the office". The word used in Psalms ad throughout the Old Testament for "priest" is "k塗en", meaning, "one officiating, chief ruler, prince, principal officer". From Paul Foster Case, B.O.T.A. Tarot lesson #11, The Emperor, "Words related to `order' are system, regulation, management, supervision. Order is related to the number 4 and is the response of the subconscious to impressions originating at the self-conscious level". From "The Priesthood Manual" of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Heald House, Independence, Missouri, 1957. "Priesthood is but another name for authority, and should mean an intervening power, The priesthood rightly considered a signifies a body of men rightfully holding power to administer in the name of Jesus Christ for the conferring of spiritual blessings upon men". Joseph Smith "It (priesthood) is the right to represent God. It is divine authority placed at the disposal of man". "Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?" -Numbers 16:9 "The priesthood did not have its origin with any man or set of man. It is said to have neither descent, beginning of days, or end of life. It is an office always extant. It was not prepared for any particular man, but the man for it". The Melchisedec priesthood existed from Adam to Moses. . . This priesthood seems to have been withdrawn from Israel with the death of Moses because the people failed to respond to its ministry. It was restored to earth through Jesus Christ. . ." "The Levitical priesthood was added to the Aaronic order, as assistants to the priests of Aaron. This priesthood came greater prominence with the withdrawal of the Melchisedec order at the death of Moses, for it carried the entire responsibility of leading and ministering to Israel." "With the restoration of the Melchisedec priesthood at the time of Christ, the Aaronic order, as the "lesser" priesthood, performed its ministry under the direction of the greater priesthood." "Perpetuation today (of the Melchisedec priesthood) is by divine call, followed by approval of administrative officers and members concerned, and by ordination through laying on of hands of those possessing authority." "The Order of Melchisedec - This Priesthood was originally called "The holy priesthood, after the order of the Son of God; but out of respect or reverence to the name of the Supreme Being, to avoid the too frequent repetition of his name" it was called Melchisedec, who was a member of that order. "All other authorities or offices in the church are appendages to this priesthood." "It holds the right of presidency in spiritual things. It administers the gospel ordinance and holds the keys of the mysteries of the kingdom." "The Melchisedec priesthood, on the other hand, to which the elder belongs, immediately concerns itself chiefly with: Administering the ordinances, which help to make up the spiritual life and welfare of the church. Presiding, that is, overseeing and directing the efficient function of both ministry possible to the membership." ETYMOLOGICAL ORIGINS OF CHURCHThe present word, "church", as it is used today, is defied as follows by the Funk and Wagnall's Standard College Dictionary: "1) a building for public worship; 2) regular religious services; public worship; 3) a local congregation of Christians; 4) a distinct body of Christians having a common faith and discipline, a denomination; 5) ecclesiastical organization and authority, as distinguished from secular authority; 6) the clerical profession; holy orders". The word, "church" comes from the Old English word "circe", which is derived from the Greek word "kyriakon (doma) meaning "the Lord's (house) from the Greek root word "Kyrious" mean "Lord". (Funk and Wagnall's) The word, "church" was used by the translators of the New Testament to translate the Greek word "ekklasia". "Ekklasia" is translated by Strong as "a calling out; a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation; and assembly (related to Jewish synagogue and Christian community)". Berry translates the word as "assembly, the whole body of believers". The roots of the word "ekklasia" are most interesting, "ek" means "origin (the point whence motion or action proceeds), from out, by means of, thenceforth, through, unto, among, forth" and in composition with another word (i.e. "ek-kryolol"), it means, "completion." (Strong) The other root is "kaleo" which means "to call bid, call forth." This related to another root verb "kerevw" or "kerrw" which means, "to urge on, hail, to incite by word, order, bid (at or give) command (ment)." (Strong) The early Christian "ekklasia" was very similar to the pattern of the Jewish synagogues. The Christian community meetings usually conducted in private homes were mostly made up of converted Jews in the earliest Christian days. It was natural for them to use the already established concept of the synagogue meetings as the basic concept of their assemblies, substituting the Eucharist and Christian prayers for the old Jewish ceremonies. (from Compton's Pictured Encyclopedia). Therefore, the word, "synagogue" is also of interest in obtaining a clear understanding of the concept of "church". The word "synagogue" was used in the New Testament only. The Greek word was "Sunagoge" meaning, "an assemblage of persons; congregation; analogous to a Christian church". (Strong) The Berry Lexicon defines it as "an assembly, congregation, synagogue, either the place or the people gathered in the place; synonymous with "ekklasia". The word, "sunagoge" comes from the verb "sunago", which means, "to lead together, collect or convene, assemble, gather, lead into, resort, take in, receive hospitably". (Strong) The verb, "sunago" is the product of two roots. "Sun" is a preposition meaning "union, with or together, association, process, instrumentality, possession, resemblance, addition, beside, with. In composition with another word (i.e. sun-ago"), it means "completion" or "completeness". The other root of "sunago" is "ago", which means "to lead, to bring, drive, go, pass, induce, to bring forth, carry, keep, be open". (Strong) Church - the name early adopted by the Christians, may have meant "the meeting". Also had Old Testament connotation of being "the true congregation of God, the divinely called people". - From "A History of the Christian Church" by Williston Walker of Yale University. "Parts of one universal Church, which Ignatius implies, is related to Christ as the body is related to the head. It extends to the ends of the earth and God gathers it together from the four winds." Hermas thought that "the Church collects its members from the whole world, forming them into one body in unity of understanding, mind, faith and love." Justin speaks of all those who believe in Christ as being "united in one soul, one synagogue, one church". The Church is regarded as the new authentic Israel which has inherited the promises which God made to the old. Ignatius teaches that the Church is at once flesh and Spirit, its unity being the union of both. It is the holy community within which the divine Spirit lives and operates. "The love-community." Clement believed that the Church was created before the sun and moon, spiritual and eternal, manifested in these latter days in His flesh and for our salvation. Irenaeus regards the Church as the New Israel, and calls it the great and glorious body of Christ. Where the Church is there is the Spirit of God. From "Early Christian Doctrines" By J.N.D. Kelly, of Oxford Third Century A.D. Views - Clement - "the gathering of the elect:, `an impregnable city ruled by the Logos'". The earthly church is a copy of the heavenly church which is the perfect mystical body of Christ. The heavenly church is called the invisible church. Origen - "the congregation of Christian people", "the assembly of believers", "the city of God". The faithful are the members of the body, which is animated by God just like any other body. The whole of humanity will belong to the Church. "The heavenly Church" is "the assembly of all the saints", and is constituted by "all those souls who have attained perfection". The church on earth is "an imitation of the coming kingdom". The Church was early called the "Mother", holy and pure. St. Paul in I Timothy 3:15 calls it "the pillar and ground of truth". The words, "one", "holy", "Catholic", and "apostolic" came to be applied regularly to the Church after the Constantinopolitan Creed in 381 A.D. Gregory of Nazianzus (Calpadocian) - "We are all made one in Christ, Who becomes completely all that He is in us." Cyril of Alexandria - "the body of Christ in us binds us in unity . . . we are brought into unity both with Him and with one another." Augustine - The Church is the realm of Christ, His mystical body and His bride, the Mother of Christians. He also speaks of an inner and outer church, and the difficulty of telling from appearances who are members of this true church (the "enclosed garden spring shut up, fountain sealed, the paradise with the fruit of apples) who are the elect, and belong to the "invisible fellowship of love" (as opposed to the outer, historical Catholic Church). also from "Early Christian Doctrines" by J.N.D. Kelly, Oxford Christians are "living stones" in a spiritual temple, within which the Spirit dwells. Under the new covenant, God dwells in His people. Thus, the Church was understood to be the "Messianic Community or the New Israel, its members being Abraham's seed, heirs according to the promise." The "ecclesia" - which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew "gahal" - the congregation of God's people, the elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession" (instruments of God in His work of redemption). "It is the temple of he Presence, it is the Body of Christ, and the Bride of Christ; yet the Temple has still to be built together, the Body has still to built up, the Bride has still to become wholly one with her divine Bridegroom." The definition of Christians - "those upon whom the ends of the ages are come." - From the Early Christian Church" by J. G. Davis St. Paul - "But that Jerusalem which is above is free, which is our Mother (Gal 4:26) - related to the prophecy of Isaias. The church as the heavenly Jerusalem. Tertullian - calls the Church "Mistress and Mother" (Domina Mater Ecclesia). From "Christ the One Priest and We His Priests" , Vol. II by Clement Dillenschneider. THE ORDERThe Order is the second manifestation of the Body of Jesus Christ. Not in a single personage or Being, but by combining those who will serve without qualification for the betterment of the Whole. My brethren let there be not separation among us. Let's not be of ourselves independent, but rather yearn for the presence of Christ in Order. I have sat and listened to discussion and felt a burning as of the presence of Christ within me shouting that there be Order, not separation. We have been asked to lead mankind in the quest of his own God-self in the light of truth, which is in Christ Jesus. This we know to be true and real, having experienced it ourselves. Our objective is carried out in the above manner in manifesting the reality of what is the Body of Christ, and to bring or raise it up as the Body of Christ in completion, in accord with the creative pattern presented some 2,000 years earlier by our Master Jesus, who was Christed. Let us remember we of ourselves are but messengers of that same Christos. Not of ourselves a thing, but a segment of a divine Being in a particular plane of manifestation having but one function, not many but one, to glorify the Most High God in Unity and Peace. FROM THE BOOK OF ACTIVITY: Let this be as your chapter of Hebrews, only of this day and this Order. For this shall be the ninth chapter of the Book of Mans. (It is like the ninth chapter of Hebrews.) For in this day, thou shalt not pay heed to the way a Holy Order has been previously conducted, but shall pay heed unto my Word, for it is a Law unto you. For ye need only to be militant in the way of being at all places, always going forth. For thy presence shall speak as much as thy Word. Heed ye every word thou speakest with feeling, for it shall manifest. Require each man to serve four years, regardless of the time he studies, before he goes into any outside ministry of another organization. He, who would carry my mark and would carry the shield of my Order, must be truly tested, so spare not the rod. Thy rod shall be thy word, and thou shalt send him or her to places for tests, and they shall be found not wanting. For to be in this outer world of negation after serving under thy mantle shall be their test. For truly I say unto you, he that can stand alone amongst the children of men, should have no fear to brave the depths of the earth or the fire of hell. This Solar System has a form, an orderly form; this planet has a form - an orderly form. We ourselves have an orderly form when it is left alone to manifest. Common to all is the same form and Order. Let it be known throughout the Order that this Holy Order seeketh not power, which it already has, but the holiness, which shall lead to completion of the Work. Seek not thine own elevation, but seek to become as a carrier pigeon to all the earth. Know ye that ye have been given much, and of him is much expected. You in this Holy Order are performing a duty and a service to mankind very similar to that which I so desired to do in those days. But not having the facilities or the ways of being able to substantiate it, and only three years of ministry in that place, therefore it was necessary for me to leave a lasting record and a lasting understanding, so that others of this day might go forth with this work and reach into the reality, and gain the understanding of my Father's world, and that which I am trying to bring unto the people at large - to all my sheep. A Holy Order is a group of men who adheres to a system that is absolutely complete in the wholeness of Creation. The word "Order" means that it is following the order and purpose of men, and of the universe. This is the point at which our unity stands, and this is our unity - otherwise it is nothing. This is a world order. The Order is an organism of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you take a vow to the Order of the Golden Cross, or Melchisedec . . . this is under the Masters of Heaven. Aids on the Way Forget you are an individual; assume the Way of Christ. Learn that one thing is always necessary - direct obedience to the teacher or priest. Questions are fine, but obedience in action leads to light in fulfillment of the deed. When walking from one place to another, know that this is like a man's spiritual advancement. For he can only go as far as he can see and as fast as his legs can carry him. Therefore, let there be no end in sight - only the service of God, for this makes short legs long and strong. When one feels he is all alone, know that He too is one with you, as you are one with God. The calling to the HOLY ORDER and Priesthood is genuine when the fulfillment of the understanding comes through the service to man. The call is received from the God Being or the Greater Brotherhood. In wandering, in wondering, there is but one answer. God is all, as all, giving all to all, and this is the secret, which will be known by all who come through the great gates of this school. In walking on THE WAY, remember that stumbling on the stones is only finding out where you placed the blocks. History Of The OrderThe Order was conceived through revelation and evolved from the findings of a fact-finding group of professional people interested in the welfare of man for not only the present, but the future. Many years of work, teaching, lecturing and personal service preceded the legal founding of the Order in 1968. The founding work actually started in 1961, the preliminary work having extended 30 years earlier. Here in San Francisco, under the leadership of Dr. Earl W. Blighton, and with great spiritual guidance, it was officially recorded as a corporation on July 24, 1968. Dr. Blighton's previous social and church work prepared him well for the particular work of the Order. He had been ordained many years earlier, and carried forward the ancient rites in conjunction with his divine calling to the field. Dates of Interest First Brotherhouse of permanent students of the Order: November 1966, 7 room flat was rented at 39 Guerrero St.; San Francisco, California. First permanent headquarters: 20 Steiner Street, Leased November 1967, bought 1970. First HOLY ORDER OF MANS Charter as an independent entity, sealed at Sacramento, California, 11:15 AM, PDT, July 24, 1968. Last time the entire Order membership was able to gather at one table: November 28, 1968, Thanksgiving. First property purchased for the Order, 910 Steiner St., Autumn, 1968, (a few moved in early December) First out-of-state Mission Centers begun: February, 1969 - Rev. Canright and Br. Speer to Honolulu. March 1969 Revs. Martin and Denise Swanson to Chicago. First two women missionaries went to Wichita, Kansas - Sisters Mary Rule and Toyoko Fukushima. PurposeThe Holy Order of MANSs is an organization of men and women who are banded together to promote a more thorough understanding of the divine laws of God and of Creation, and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ with the ancient Christian Mysteries as a revealed teaching of this day, in accordance with the Testament and the words of our Lord Jesus that "all the mysteries shall be revealed". The Order is by nature Pauline Catholic because it follows the works of Paul as he brought the churches together and to bring about the unity between them in what was then known as the Christian Church. This work was done by the Apostle Paul in the first century of Christianity. The Master Jesus is considered and accepted by all as the Master of this Order, who has directed the Order and its growth, by revelation given to member priests. The word "MANS" is an acronym formed of component words whose initials are of esoteric value and therefore a striving of the whole Order. The strivings of the Order are in the Prayer of the Brothers. The reason and purpose of this Order is for the teaching of the Universal Law of Creation in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the other great avatars; and for the bringing together of all men, one in united purpose and brotherhood for the service of all men to each other and to God, through a framework of the Order and groups of all men in teaching a Universal approach to God, Creation and Man. The above is accomplished by a series of centers or brotherhood houses for the purpose of teaching and other necessary facilities. Cities and towns will provided with street patrols and service to the general public, including work with teenagers and service to people of all walks of life. Policy:The key word of the Order is Service to the Creator through service to all fellow man. To serve his spiritual needs: Serving the Sacraments as they were given by the Master Jesus. Service by teaching all to use the tools given by the Father to each man and woman. Service by defending the Truth with peace and the Light of Christ. Service to man by healing through the Power of the Spirit, as all are taught the use of the gifts of the Spirit as described by Paul in the twelfth chapter of I Corinthians. We do not preach in the street. We conduct patrols whereby members are on the streets available to all for counseling, direction, or whatever. The Order maintains community aid stations to provide for those in need of food, shelter or clothing, without charge. This is a community service for both men and women, and many people are referred to the Order's aid program by local agencies, churches and the Social Service Department. Students Purpose: For he that is guided shall be well disciplined and he that is well disciplined shall be well guided by the Spirit. "The Order is also a place where a student may receive the necessary discipline and work needed for spiritual growth and advancement that he may find the true Realization of the God SELF and thus gain freedom from all earthly bondage and gain greater grace." ACTIVITY - RevelationI give unto you a new law - it is a law of the Spirit. It is the Law of Activity. Out of the depths of the Self shall come many new ordinances. For as I have said, thy rod and thy staff shall comfort thee. Now I say, thy rod and thy staff give thy way life and thou shalt go forth and bring the glory of the Father into reality. Seek not the protection of vague security of earth but accept thy security from me. But cast not thy hand in the fire, unless it should be shielded in the knowledge of thyself. For only an active body and clean mind keepth a strong body or temple of God. Beware of thy spiritual activity that is true; for thine acts are living prayer and thy words are as solid as the earth. Parade not thy knowledge lest thy soul by stripped of thy heritage. Act ye in accord with the life which ye lead for a false act in life is like a false finger, it gaineth thee nothing. Go forth into the high places as well as the low and demand my share of my Father's bounty. You shall celebrate the victory of my Father through the Christos. ALTAR AND CHAPEL PREPARATIONSThe sanctuary should be taken care of by someone who has declared that he is going into the priesthood and is under second vows where possible. A Sister should preferably do this conditioned with type of station. Consult with the priests who are to serve before setting up to learn whether they wish to use their personal chalice or Bible in the service and remove others not needed. Then see that the altar is in readiness before priests arrive that their full attention may remain upon the spiritual function. Ask the priest what kind of service is planned - whether to prepare for a baptism or other special events. Do not disturb those priests performing the service for at least one-hour before Service time. Sanctuary:Neither non-members, novitiates, nor first-vowed students may sit within the sanctuary itself to meditate, unless so directed for a specific purpose by the priest working with him and for that day only. Chapel Preparation: Preparation begins on Saturday. All cleaning, washing and ironing of linens and checking of supplies is to be done in advance, not on Sunday. Setting up of chairs, flowers, etc., should be done at least one hour before services, so all activity is over by 10:30 for the 11:00 AM Mass. At this time all is in readiness for those who choose to meditate (not a requirement). There should be no talking inside or outside the chapel during this time, and all should enter quietly. Lower heat if any is being used for the duration of the service. Soft classical or sacred music is permissible before service if desired - the type of instrument as approved by Council. If some disturbance has occurred, a song may be used to clear the atmosphere before starting service. One person should be appointed to act as host throughout. This is not necessarily the person who sets up the altar. He is to see that the chapel is in order for all public services, adequate seating prepared, and flowers arranged. He should welcome and assist strangers, latecomers, and new students as to where they should sit. He should be so seated as to handle any situation, which might arise, inside or out, firmly with the least disturbance. He will have an understanding with the priest in charge of the house as to handling of guests and who may stay after the services or who ought not. Try to have flowers, preferably in brass, silver or blue vase. (Green is not normally used in the sanctuary.) These may be placed at any height even on the wall if space requires it but not directly in front of the altar and not in the working space where they could tip over or obstruct the view. Chapel SeatingAll priests not serving should sit in the front row, behind them first-vowed students, and at the extreme rear second-vowed students. Between these are the novitiates and visitors. Thus is formed a field of Power or creative pattern. But do not become too regulation conscious. Do not hamper the Spirit but smooth the way that it may freely flow. Keep the doors clear. Arrange proper seating for priests. Setting UpFirst kneeling to prepare themselves, the attendants enter to set up the altar on the right (creative) side of the sanctuary and without shoes, but not barefoot. Clean soft white slippers in the sanctuary are suggested for the priests who serve, being of good appearance, or white socks, or nylons. Incense may be carried through the chapel if desired. It is never placed directly on the altar: it should be burned before the priests come into the sanctuary. In cutting the matzos or bread, cut it in narrow strips, which can be easily broken by the priest into small bits as served. If in doubt as to the amount of wine required, a suitable dispenser containing wine (or second chalice) can be kept unobtrusively near by in case it is needed. The altar attendant should be prepared to get this for the priest if needed, without too much notice. If not blessed, it may be poured back into bottle. Do not manifest bottle in view of those attending service. On the altar the bread is placed on the left, wine at the right. For baptism, in setting up, the olive oil is on the left, the water on the right. If combined with a communion service both are on the right. For marriage, in setting up, water is on the right. Ablutions may be taken either by the priest or the person who sets up the altar. If too much is left over either the priest or someone he appoints should assist. Chalice is cleaned right after services with a linen cloth, not washed in soap and water. A dampened cloth may be used if necessary; or chalice may be rinsed slightly with water, which the attendant then drinks. Altar cloths and chalice covers are washed with warm water and soap. Bleach may used when needed. These are preferably washed by hand, not on Sunday. Return sacrament books, chalices, and Bibles to the priests who loaned them or used them for the service. AltarCandles Eternal Flame: When establishing a new altar, or going into a place for the first time, a priest should bless the Eternal Flame and set it going. Thereafter the sanctuary attendant takes care of this, lighting a new flame from the old before it goes out. In case it should go out, a priest again lights and blesses the new flame. In missionary stations, where only the missionary is in charge, he himself will bless the new flame. A seven-branched candlestick is placed on the left side of the altar and a five-branched candlestick on the right. On a small altar, where you have no large Law candlesticks, the three candles are placed on the altar itself, with the Eternal Flame, either hanging above the altar or placed in the middle of the triangle of the three candles. The Law candles are lighted before setting up; altar candles just before (or as) the priest enters. These are lighted counter-clockwise. Start with the Son to light them, then the Father then the Holy Spirit. You are setting up the Light to work in. In lighting both the Law candles and the candelabra start at the left and go toward the right.
Altar cloths should be of white linen. The altar cloth should not hang over the front or back edge, but if altar is regular, square or oblong in shape, seven inches of the cloth may hang down at both ends. *Exception is for the Mass of the Christos, the sacrament of Light, when the altar cloth is purple satin, and seven wooden candlesticks are used with 6-inch candles, and a picture of Christ Jesus. The cloth should hang exactly as described above. Chalice covers should be of white linen and reach down to the altar; however, chalice covers may be designed which fit over chalice in box-like fashion. There should be a sacrament box. It should not be black, where the sacraments are to be kept in it, unless it also serves as a carrying case. It should have purple lining. A silver chalice and paten should be gold-washed inside. The chalice for water is brass. The chalice for oil is copper lined with gold. "Copper is an insulator to cosmic rays, preventing interference." The square covers are of wood, to represent the elements of growth of vegetation. The linen is cemented on. A golden triangle on the chalice cover represents spiritual law. The cover for bread shows a red square. The cover for water, a blue circle with an orange dot in the center. The cover for oil is small, with an emblem of the Order painted on it in the Order colors, red square, blue circle and gold triangle and Cross. We are being baptized under the sign of the Order. SacramentsA morning Communion service is held daily at 6:15 AM and a Sunday morning Mass at 11:00 AM, to which all are invited. We do not withhold the sacraments from any person. Any singing or music should be before the gospel. "When you take on the Mantle of God you take on the theme of OBEDIENCE, in accordance with the laws laid down by Creation." "In another Age, it might be a different set of laws (for that Age). You are also susceptible to the influence of the Host, which is part of this. And you are protected it is not a one-way deal." "BAPTIZE ALL WHO HAVE NOT BEEN BAPTIZED. THIS MEANS ALL PRIESTS, ALL BROTHERS, FIRST-VOWED, SECOND-VOWED, AND TEACHERS -- ALL PEOPLE IN THE ORDER, AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF THE HIGHER LEVEL ONES IN BAPTISM." Revelation of May 25, 1972 Service"Those in my service shall have long days and short nights. Unto him who giveth his life in service, will I give all of My Life unto him." From the Book of Activity Let us consider with humility that we are but vessels of service to unite a crystalline planet with the others of the solar system in bonds of service and reality of life and expression. We serve the Higher Being for the good of Mankind in any form. Our hands were given into Service of the Holy Order of MANSs binding upon our being from Eternity to Eternity, world and Life without end. Now it is time we stop looking at the Holy Order of MANSs strictly upon this plane of existence and look at exactly what these terms and words mean in their workings and reality. The fullness of Christ will surely manifest and nourish our oneness of purpose and mind into a form which will be the Order of Earth, hence we have a NEW Earth. Then the Orders above, of which this is merely a part, will incorporate and propagate new Beings to fill that order as the Brothers see fit. But this can be accomplished only through selfless service to serve willingly and knowingly those here, by being of oneness of mind, body, soul, spirit and Order. Then have we achieved and become a wholly-Holy, or whole, ORDER OF MANS. Public Sunday ServicesThe priest prepares himself in the sanctuary through prayer. Glorification of the Father, assembly standing. Public Announcements, class times, special occasions, General welcome by second priest, if there be two. Student sermon, three to five minutes. Someone who needs this should be chosen. (Symbolizes drawing into the temple those from the outer edge.) Songs. This prepares the sanctuary for the priest before reading the gospel. Reading the gospel from one of the first four books of the Testament. This is the Word of the Master, or bringing down the Word of God, assisting priest, from Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Sermon, by officiating priest. This is the bringing of the Word of God to the people, as the priest steps out onto the podium. Text may be from any appropriate source. Mass or Communion. Bringing others into the body of Christ. Benediction. The first priest opens and closes the service. Evening prayers should not be treated as a ritual. The simple service should be varied according to the needs of the day, giving healings at the finish if so desired. SILENCE "To him that would be silent that he might hear my voice, without speaking to his brother - let him also look within that he shall see my Child." Silence is occasionally used correctively to help novitiates disengage their attention from the "mass mind". But it should be administered as punishment only when the student has by his speech violated some principle in speaking to another student or an outsider. (A student when counseling with a priest is not restricted in speech, but encouraged to let go of all this thoughts, without fear of reprisal.) Short periods of silence for the entire house are beneficial to all. BROTHERHOODDAILY PRAYER OF THE BROTHERSI strive, o Father, Creator of all, To be a Nameless Wanderer, To be perfect and all-sufficient. So poised, so balanced, That none but SELF can comprehend. All of this was unknown. Unknowable. The greatness. The splendor. The magnificence of all. With the Majesty of Thy Power I, more than mind of man, can conceive. For in the beginning, O Father, all-knowing, Thou didst speak the Word, And the Word was with Thee, And the Word was Thee. And the greatness and the splendor Of Thy Power didst manifest, Not through mind, but Thy Self. For then the Word took flesh, And the great being of the Christos was born In all magnificence and Power. For this is the mystery That man has not understood. For Thy Word thou spokest once again. God in great humility, Sealed in the fleshly body Of a little child-- Thus was the Master Jesus born. My every prayer shall be, and is, That in this Holy Family I be received. To be the servant of all, To receive the great call, Glory, glory, glory, Lord God of all. Amen BEATITUDES OF THE BROTHERHOOD
BROTHERHOODDear Brothers in Christ, Somehow during the course of our material strivings and attempts to gain spiritual attainment, we may tend to forget a tremendously important fact in regards to our Order. The Holy Order of MANSs is primarily made up of the second-vowed Brothers or Sisters which are life members of the Order, and Priests and Teachers. This is the real Order. The first-vowed students are those who are attempting to attain real entrance into the Order. The novitiate is he who has come in on a probationary period and is seeking to be permitted to come under the full teachings of the Order. There should be existent a real feeling of brotherhood between all, but there should be a close association between the Brothers, and the Priests and Teachers. Remember that the priesthood is not the only thing which the Order strives for, and where initiation is really experienced. When a Brother really enters and takes his second-vows he is truly becoming a part of a Holy Order, and this means, that he declares himself as a part and parcel of the entire Host of Creation, of God the Father, under our Lord Jesus Christ. "ALL SECOND-VOWED BROTHERS SHALL TAKE SPECIAL INSTRUCTION AFTER VOWS. THE INSTRUCTION SHALL BE OF THE FIRST AND SECOND LEVELS OF THE TREE OF LIFE FOR FOUR WEEKS." Revelation from the Master -- July 23, 1972 "Let him who joins my Brotherhood find solace arid beauty in its service." "He that would be known as a man of God, let him so be marked." "For the mark of a man of God is the mark of royalty in the courts of the most high of earth." Letter From Director-General To All Brothers, Ministers And Teachers In The Holy Order Of MANSI want it thoroughly understood that every student, minister, or ministerial student, or teacher may send in a request to me, to be heard by me or the Council, over any difference between them and their intermediate heads. I am sending this letter, not because of any incident, but because I want to feel assured that every brother and sister in this Order has had complete and thorough spiritual understanding between himself and all heads of the Order at all times, so that he may have full opportunity to gain his Illumination and Realization of the Self, and that because of some either misunderstanding, or his inadequacy of expressing himself, or perhaps because of some inner condition which his teachers have not observed, that he might be cut off from obtaining Realization. The Twelve Rules Of Living For The Brothers And Finding The Self
There shall not be fostered a spirit of competition between Brother and Brother, nor between House and House. But there shall be a spirit of rejoicing in united effort. Compare not thy works with that of thy brother for it is Jesus Christ you serve. "WHEN ONE OF MY BROTHERS HAS TROUBLE WITH ANY OF THE COSMIC FORCES PUT HIM INTO THE CHAPEL FOR THREE DAYS AND LET HIM WORK WITH MARY AND HE WILL BE ALRIGHT." Revelation From The Master -- May 7, 1972 On the Preparation and Training of a Candidate for Final Vows in the Holy Order of MANSsAfter a student has been in the Order for his probationary nine months, or after he has come into the Realization of the SELF and has demonstrated his ability and his sincere desire to serve under this Order, he may apply for the full vows, the lifetime vows of the Order. If he is granted acceptance for these vows by the Esoteric Council, he should then be taken by his Teacher or a priest in good standing and counseled as to the meaning and reality of the vows he seeks to take. Emphasis should be placed upon the relationship of these vows to his daily life as a Brother. Personal work must be done with the Brother, so that he knows that he is being prepared for a major change in his life. The counseling must be intimate in nature, for the candidate should be examining his soul at this time and preparing himself. This is important, because when a man takes the full vows, he leaves permanently the community of men to enter the community of God. The differences between the two ways of life must be emphasized to him before he takes these vows. If after proper counseling, the candidate is still desirous of taking the vows, they may be administered to him on the day appointed for the administering of the final vows. On the day prior to the administration of these vows, the candidate should distribute all worldly goods to his fellows or to the needy or poor. This does not include trusts, inheritances and so forth. But all the things that he has personally about his person should be disposed of. He should then be provided with a suit, five suits of underwear, five pairs of socks, and good shoes, as well as the toilet articles and his Testament and lesson books. In the case of women candidates, the same applies with allowances for the change in dress. These things should be provided by the Order through the Center in which the Brother is working. And these things shall be maintained after the vows by the Order. The Brother of course, should be instructed as to how to take care of these articles so that they last. The materials supplied to the Brother should be as high quality as possible without being extreme, so that the things that he does have will be of lasting value to him, and we do not need to go and continually supply him with these goods. He will then spend the night prior to the day of his vows in chapel in prayer and meditation. At the conclusion of this time he may have confession if he wishes it, and will then receive his vows in the presence of the other Brothers. At the conclusion of the vow ceremony the new Brother shall be presented with the robe of the Brothers by his Brothers, similarly to the way in which a new priest is presented with his robe by his fellow priests. He is then granted all the rights and responsibilities of a full Brother in the Holy Order of MANSs. Classes, however, should be administered either privately or in a group to the newly-vowed Brother for at least one month's time after his vows, once a week, on the meaning and importance and function of himself as a Brother within the Order. This should not be overlooked, for any reason, regardless of whether he is going on to the priesthood, or is going out into independent work later on as part of his mission; he should know how to function in accord with the position that he holds at that moment. This requires instruction. This requires guidance. And this requires training and study on the part of the Brother and on the part of his superior. Privileges of the BrothersSome of the Privileges of the Brothers are:
The Brother should remember that, though he seeks perfection, he must not expect either himself or his actions to be perfect, but should rather expect that he be simple, direct, strong, faithful, honest and compassionate, seeking always that his actions be of a positive nature, and keeping his communication in accord with the basic teachings of Jesus without personal embellishment. By doing this, he will appear as an example of Christian manhood or womanhood to all, regardless of personal lacks or imperfections. And this is his duty. This is his charge. The Brother shall study at least once a year for the first four years the tenets, by-laws and Book of Order of the Holy Order of MANSs, and shall satisfactorily prove his understanding and knowledge of these things to his superiors. As a representative of the Order the Brother must know the form of the Order and follow it. By doing so, the Brother opens the way for the collective consciousness of the Order inherent in the form of the Order to flow to and through him. It is this consciousness which is collective and which is inherent in the form that, when assumed, brings a Brother into a full realization of his station in the Order. These things in many cases cannot be taught in a class or in a lesson. This is part of the understanding of Brotherhood, part of the reality of unity in service, and can only truly be experienced and grasped by the Brother, as he becomes a Brother. It is the duty of each man and woman under final vows in the Holy Order of MANSs to carry himself in the image of Jesus Christ, seeking always to be of service wherever he may be, and not thinking that he is yet a student, though he may be one, for he is a member of the Order and carries the responsibilities of membership, carries the rights of membership, and should be treated and treat himself as truly a Brother at all times. The Brother has not, in many cases, learned the meaning of this in a cosmic sense. But it should be understood that the spiritual care of the masses is in their charge also, physically and spiritually, regardless of the work done by the Brother in the Order. The people of earth are his charges for he has taken on the work of Jesus Christ, and the care of these little ones is his responsibility. A GuideIn that the Brother shares the work of the Master, he also lightens the load by taking on some of the responsibility of the Master. This frees the Master to take a greater responsibility yet uncarried. This is part of the cosmic plan of ever-increasing service and should be meditated on by the Brother.A Guide for the Life-Vowed Members of the Holy Order of MANSsA full Brother in the Holy Order of MANSs is a man or woman who has satisfactorily completed his training period under the Novitiate and Temporary Vows, and has attained spiritually to the Illumination at least, and has taken on the five vows for the remainder of his lifetime here on earth. He is a full member of the Order with all the rights and the responsibilities of membership within this Holy Order. His apparel shall be as follows: All full Brothers in the Holy Order of MANSs shall wear the habit of the Order at all times, except by direct permission of their superiors. For street wear this consists of, for men, a black suit with a white shirt; and cuff links, if worn with the shirt, shall be of a modest design; a standard rabat and a collar with a blue ribbon, not then the informal cleric shirt with the tab-in collar. He shall wear black socks and shoes, not sandals; and shall wear openly the cross of the Order, suspended by a blue ribbon. If a top-coat or raincoat is to be worn, it shall be black and of knee length. Hats may be worn and shall be black only. House or chapel wear shall be either the same as street wear, except that a black sweater may be worn instead of a jacket, but always with a rabat; or the Brothers' robe with a linen collar, and this collar must be worn at all times with the robe. Sandals may be worn with socks with the robe only. Bare or stocking feet are not allowed except in the living quarters. Informal cleric shirt may be worn when climate or circumstances permit. It is the responsibility of the Brother to make sure that his apparel is clean and in good order at all times. All suits should be cleaned by the Brother himself at least once a week or when needed. Shirts, robes, socks should be hand-washed and pressed by the brother. The linen collar should be kept in good order and cleaned regularly. Shoes should be regularly shined. All clothing other than the habit of the Order, such as work clothes, shall be kept in a community closet for the use of the brothers and shall not be possessed or used exclusively by any one brother. Beards, mustaches, sideburns or long hair are not ordinarily permitted. The Brother shall be clean-shaved and his hair shall be neatly combed at all times. Personal hygiene is a sign of a man who cares about himself and those about him, and this shall be maintained by all brothers. A Brother of the Holy Order of MANSs shall take care of all personal responsibilities in regards to his living quarters, his clothing, and other responsibilities himself, and shall not delegate these responsibilities to others, regardless of their station in the Order. In emergencies these things may be handled by a fellow Brother upon request, but only in emergencies. An attitude of respect for his Brothers and himself, regardless of personal likes and dislikes shall be maintained at all times. In case of differences that cannot be settled between the Brothers, a superior should be notified, rather than allowing disunity to enter the hearts or minds. There shall be for all newly-vowed Brothers, and any older Brothers that wish or need to attend, one class per week on the function of a Brother within the Order. This shall cover all sides of the matter, from etiquette and manners to the spiritual work required of a member of this Order. The Brother may and shall assume the responsibilities of running the Order. He shall remain apart but not aloof from the novices and temporarily-vowed students, and shall have the authority and the responsibility to correct any violation of house rules by those riot under final vows, refraining from egotism, and doing so only to help show the way to these little ones in a practical and positive manner. The Brother shall learn to be constantly aware of what is occurring around him in the Brotherhouse or anywhere else, and if at any time he can be of help to his Brother, shall do so without hesitation. Holy Order Of Mans Tenets
Ordination - PriesthoodOrdinationThose brothers of our Order whom receive the greet privilege and blessing of Ordination, are vowed into the Divine Order of the Golden Cross1 after the Order of Melchisedec, as priests in the Holy Order of MANSs for the rest of their lives here. The vows of the Priesthood extend from one lifetime into another, for seven incarnations total. They are full servants of the Head of our household (the Earth), Jesus Christ. The priest through the Ordination receives the Divine Edict - that whatsoever he binds on Earth is bound in Heaven, and whatsoever he binds in heaven is bound on Earth. PriesthoodThose of you who have taken the final step and have become my priests - falter not, question not yourself, but question me, that I may ask of thee, why thou questionest me. I have once told you - believe you not me? I have told you that you shall do greater things, and in this day ye shall go forth and reap the harvest - for it is ripe with golden grain. Hesitate not, for this is doubting. If you have trouble, are afraid, seek your counsel with them or with me, or he who leads you. Hearken not to the empty noises of empty brains around you. All things are possible in the spirit. For God created all things through the spirit. Therefore all things are possible in the Spirit. Seek the way of the golden dawn. Watch for the rise of the sun, and it is rising in your life and in many. And they shall come in great flocks to you, seeking your help, arid your healing. Trust me, I am with you. Be not afraid for all things will be given. Let the spirit move as a thrashing machine before you, reaping the grains of the harvest that ye shall winnow and bring unto the barns for the winter wheat. For the winter will come when man shall be without. And as I said - "Ten thousand shall fall on thy right hand and ten thousand on thy left, and not a hair of thy head shall be touched". Go now, be not sorrowful. Be not without joy. For the time of peace is coming, even though you see the clouds of war - the time when the dove shall come. And it shall have a place to live. From day to day just go forth and do that which thou art bid, and thy heart shall be full of joy and thy body shall be full of youth, and thou shalt reap the harvest of many ages. For this is in the Book of God, in the 11th Chapter, like the 11th chapter of Hebrews. For he who follows the Order of the Golden Cross has emancipated himself through my Word and my Law. For you are my elect. He who enters the priesthood has left the wheel of Karma, as you call it, but has sacrificed himself that he shall be bound to the priesthood during seven incarnations, and shall then be free to choose his way. For he that has received the Light of my Son and works with him shall see me in manifestation at some level of the heavens. For I say unto you that you shall be known as ministers, or Masters of the Law - priests of the gospel - and thou shalt be known, you, as Master of the Work, for this I have given unto you. For let him who is my Priest move forward step by step, without hesitancy, and seek not the counsel of men, but of the Holy Elders, for I say unto you, man would only defile thee, and bring thee to naught. But if thou seek only the knowledge of the Father within thee, or of the Council of the Elders, thou shalt never come to naught. She that has reached My priesthood, and honors Me not, doeth blasphemy unto the Host, because the Host is My servant arid I am their Guide. For any Priest who heads my houses also stands in judgement of me; for these are my elect to whom they give shelter, and I call for an accounting of each one. Let every man be a school unto himself, that has accepted my Priesthood. For he that accepts me accepts great wisdom. For I say unto you, in this day man shall fulfill all the Law, if he enters into the ministry of God. Lo, a minister-priest shall not only serve at the altar, but he shall also serve those who are hungry of body. He shall serve those who are hungry for knowledge-for knowledge shall open the way of activity which is prayer. And though once he has been begotten of the Father, through the taking of the Holy Oath, he shall not cease. For if he refuse it, he shall find confusion, and an eternal fire shall burn within him until lie makes good his vows. Lo, it is better that he knew not at all, than to hold in his hand the power of the sceptre. And woe unto him that seeketh not out my little ones, but turneth his head, for I shall turn my head upon him, and he shall wander in darkness. For as he disregards the Father, so He shall disregard him and he shall pass over anguish. For first shall come the widows and orphans, whether by divorce or natural means. Second shall come the widowers and their orphans. Seek not mentalities, but spiritualities. For he who would follow me must give up his all, and this all means all - mind, body, and spirit. Teach these young priests that there is a much higher price to the priesthood than what they have been taught, for reading will not do it. Tell my young priests that I expect more of them than the time they have been given to aspire. But listen for my Voice, and they will do well. People are to accrue a priestly radiation that people will feel. This will be fostered by the reading course material given to the minister's class to read. We are to realize that we are outside of the social order. I expect my young priests when they are ordained, to continue their studies, and not stop as many of them have. Father Blighton said: There is a necessity for better understanding among the priests of what their responsibility and their authority is. We don't want to set a lot of rules. Having been granted divine ordinance, they must yet remember that they are setting paces for the students. And their relationship with the students would be such that the students may hold this in respect -which cannot be done unless they hold this authority. In their own quarters this is different, but when with students they must hold their own authority, and feel it. Because if they are as students with students, they cannot hold that authority and respect Discipline cannot be used with students unless the priest knows within himself that he has the divine authority of Jesus Christ. This he has to carry with him, and he can carry it. He can be pleasant and joyful; but it is when you have it in your heart, then you can be respected as a priest. If you have doubt or question within yourself you will not be obeyed. If you have another thought of anything else you want in life, you haven't got it yet. There are people who may have other things happen to them. But if you get hit, and you have the mantle drop on you, you'll look back and say, "This was just kindergarten.' Every fully ordained priest shall serve Communion once a day. This does not mean that he has to serve at a morning or Sunday mass; he may instead serve communion unto himself, at his own private altar, at any time prior to high noon. Those who manifest and prove to the Esoteric Council their spiritual attainment (after finishing their school work and passing the First Examination) may apply for the Priesthood or other special training and Ordination if the Council accepts them as worthy. A priest, after being ordained, shall serve mass as an assistant for twenty days and ten days he will serve the transmutation. Being a Priest unto Thyself: A servant who is a priest unto himself is one who disciplines himself, who takes the responsibility of his own actions and performs his duties out of his own love of God and man, and doesn't wait to be told what to do, and then do it only because he was told to. He exemplifies the teachings of Jesus Christ through his own actions at all times. He does live in the shadow of Jesus Christ. Prophecy - The seeing arid proclamation of events, situations, or persons that are to come in the future. All things that are to manifest themselves in this the Material World, have first a form in the Heaven Worlds through which they manifest, and a Prophet is one who sees these forms thus knowing that in the future they will manifest here in this world. "THE PRIESTS SHOULD BE FRIENDS TO THE STUDENTS AND BROTHERS, BUT AT THE SAME TIME HOLD THEIR RESPECT -- NOT BY SNOBBISHNESS, BUT BY THEIR SERVICE TO THEM." Revelation from the Master -- May 25, 1972 "SEE THAT EACH OF THE PRIESTS, WHEN THEY ARE IN THE HOUSE, SPEND BETWEEN 9:00 and 10:00 P.M. IN THE CHAPEL IN MEDITATION WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE PRAYERS." "ALL PRIESTS SHOULD HAVE ONE HOUR AT NIGHT BEFORE MIDNIGHT FOR MEDITATION IN THE CHAPEL." Revelation from the Master -- May 21, 1972"ALL TEACHERS AND PRIESTS ABOUT TO BE ORDAINED SHOULD GO TO CONFESSION, AND THE OTHER PRIESTS SHOULD GO TO CONFESSION ALSO." I HAVE SEEN MY LITTLE ONES IN THE FIELD, AND WHEN THEY MEET THOSE OF ANOTHER PRIESTHOOD WHO EVEN MAY HAVE FAILED, THEY GO TO THEM. NOW LISTEN WELL. FOR I SAY UNTO YOU, BE THEY PRIESTS OR LAYMEN, IF THEY COME NOT TO YOU, WAIT UNTIL THEY DO. YE ARE MY ELECT, AND YE SHALL JUDGE THE EARTH."
