Sacrament of Baptism (emergency)

In the absence of a Priest, a Deacon may administer Baptism using the full service of the church.

If a Subdeacon, or one in Minor Orders or a layman officiate, he (she) may use these words:

_______, I baptize thee in the Name of the + Father, and of the + Son, and of the Holy + Ghost.

... pouring water thrce in the form of a cross on the head of the candidate, and taking care that some of the water touches the forehead.

Plain water is sufficient, but Holy Water is to be preferred.
